As the leading authority on the safe handling and use of firearms, SSAA also make important contributions to government policy direction, industry research and development, tailored educational programs and training, legal and ethical hunting and conservation.

If you have decided that you want to take up shooting as a sport, you will need to obtain a firearms licence. By Joining the SSAA, membership will fulfil the genuine reason provision on your licence application.
